It's the end of July; and the festival season is only just beginning with the Isle of White, Glasto, Reading and V fest on the horrizon. Unfortunatly i won't be heading to any this year, as Ibiza stole most of my money away from me; however i still love the festival style...and these are my best finds.
To start with - SHOES!! Ok so a festival can't be a festival without a pair of Hunters! Hunter's most famous welly, the original Green wellington, was made over 50 years ago in the winter of 1955 and has taken the world by storm!
I would recomend that you shop around however as some places charge over £30 more for a pair than others. Luckily for you i've already done it!..Never go to the most popular place to buy things; as they will charge a lot more. For example on www.spoiledbrat.com (which is a very good website normally may i add) they are £72. However if you click on this link...www.countryfirstdirect.co.uk and type in 'Hunter wellies' in the search engine; the screen will become filled with a wide variety of different coloured Hunters for less than £40. BARGAIN.
For festivals i woud choose a nice bright colour...
However; if you are not feeling the 'welly' scene; or you are not going to a festival but instead just love the festival style; i have found a beautiful make of sandals; which have designed a range of very up to date, fashionable footwear.
The name of them is 'Koolaburra.'
Vanessa Hudgens has been spotted aroun LA in numerous different styled Kollaburra shoes; and is rumoured to be a big fan. However they do come with a price tag of up to £200.

SUNGLASSES
There is obviously only one make of sunglasses which is typically linked with festivals (and in my eyes-summer!) And they would be Ray-Ban's.
Ray-Bans were created in 1937, originally for pilots in the war as they, in particular, needed very good lenses as they were in the air, closer to the sun. However years later; they have become a 'must have' fashion accessory with countless amounts of stars flaunting their's as soon as the sun shines.

The main reason why i love Ray-Bans so much is due to the fact they are timeless classics. For example my Dad has had his Aviators now for over 20 years, and they are still in tiptop condition...I wish i could say the same about mine; however when you are as clumsy as i am, and drop them on a regular basis; it does seem to take it's toll on them!
However; like most things these days; Ray-Bans do not come cheap!! They can cost anything between £70-£200 depending on whether they are first hand/second hand; or what website you get them from.
I have found an amazing website which sells genuine discounted Ray-Bans at http://www.buyraybansunglass.com/; with amazing savings of up to £50.
If you are still not willing to pay £35 plus for a pair of sunglasses (which is understandable) then http://www.asos.com/ sell extremely good replicars for a fraction of the price.
When it comes to 'what to wear on the bottom half' - nothing says summer without a pair off denim cut of jeans without a doubt. They seem to be making appearance's every summer; which is understandable seeing as they are perfect for chilling at the beach in/or for casual day wear, when teamed up with a pair of gladiators and a casual tee. Or, on the other hand, they can be dressed up in the evening with a cute blazer and heels...the choices are endless! Obviously you can buy cut off denim shorts in any good retail shop; however my advise would be to head down to your local charity shop or vintage market; where not only would the price be a fraction of your standard RRP; but the shorts would aleady have that 'worn in, tapered look' to them.
Or if you're feeling a bit creative, grab an old pair of jeans from the back of your wardrobe; and simply cut the jeans yourself; this way you can make them as tatty/frayed/clean cut as you want them to be!

Knuckle Rings
So one of the biggest trends in L.A this summer has been the; 'in your face', statement, knuckle rings!
The 'inventor' of this ring; (who is also the person who originally started off the knuckle ring craze back in 2008) would be the jewellery designer Robert Lee Morris; whom with the help of the line 'Elizabeth and James', created a very unique and minimalistic range of rings. The prices are quite expensive however; and you would be looking at over 100$ per item...

The benefit of this ring being so 'simple' looking- is that it means there are plenty more rings exactly like it on the market, for much cheaper prices.
For example at www.aldoshoes.com; they currently have a beautiful silver and gold knuckle ring; nearly exactly the same as the ones designed by Robert Lee Morris - for only £7! (I have the silver one!!)
